New Dean Assumes Charge at University of Animal Sciences Lahore
Lahore :August 16: DR Nasim Ahmad, professor of the Department of Theriogenology, has assumed the charge of Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management (FLSBM), University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore.
According to a press release issued on Thursday, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha had directed Prof Nasim to look after the duties of the Dean FLSBM in addition to his own duties.
Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad is a PhD in Reproductive Physiology from the West Virginia University, USA.
He also served as Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chairman of Department of Theriogenology and Director Research and Director External Linkages. His research interests are improving fertility through enhancing post-thaw semen quality and synchronisation of estrus and ovulation.
Prof Nasim is an author of more than 40 publications in high impact factor journals.
Prof Dr Nasim Ahmadis reviewer for national and international journals.
Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad has won many competitive research grants.
He has supervised or co-supervised 20 Master’s and two Doctoral students.
In recognition of his research work, Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad has also been awarded “PARC Scientist of the year: 1999” award and Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) Best University Teacher Award for the year 2007 and Sitare-e-Imtiaz Presidential Civil Award. The news.
