Five UVAS PhDs Awarded at UNIVERSITY of Animal Sciences
Lahore :August 16: UNIVERSITY of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore awarded PhD degrees to five scholars in various disciplines on the recommendation of external examiners and after the fulfillment of all the requirements.
According to a press release issued on Thursday, Dr Muhammad Akram has been awarded a PhD degree in clinical medicine after he completed his research work under the supervision of Prof Dr Muhammad Athar Khan. The title of his thesis was “Epidemiological intelligence on distribution and dynamics of main transboundary diseases of ruminants in the central districts of Punjab”.
Dr Asim Khalid Mahmood has been awarded a PhD degree in clinical medicine. He did his thesis titled “Epidemiological Study of Major Diarrheic Agents in Adult Goats in Lahore” under the supervision of Prof Dr Muhammad Sarwar Khan.
Dr Abdul Razzaq got a PhD degree in parasitology, as he completed his thesis titled “Epidemiological, Serological, Haematological and Therapeutic Studies on Ovine Mematodiasis in Three Ecological Zones of Balochistan” under the supervision of Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf. Dr Muhammad Hassan Saleem did his PhD in clinical medicine under the supervision of Prof Dr Muhammad Sarwar Khan. The title of his thesis was “Epidemiological Haematological and Serological Studies of Leptospirosis in Dogs and Humans at High Risk in and around Lahore City”. Dr Sarwat Naz did her degree of Doctor of Philosophy in parasitology under the supervision of Prof Dr Azhar Maqbool. The title of her thesis was “Detection of Vivax Malaria and its Control under Local Climatic Conditions”.The news.
