School vans owners ordered to remove CNG cylinders
Rawalpindi :September 15: Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has ordered owners of pick and drop school vans to remove the CNG cylinders from their vehicles and to ensure route permits and fitness certificates on urgent basis.
RTA also issued ultimatum of 24 hours to all types of public transport vehicle owners to remove the CNG cylinders from below the seats and in passenger cabin, and after this a grand operation will start on all transport stations and main roads. Four teams have been formed for this purpose.
The secretary of Regional Transport Authority said that owners of school vans have illegally installed two to three low quality cylinders that may cause any terrible accident. He said that owners of all public transport vehicles have been warned to remove these cylinders within 24 hours and after this sudden checking will start and cases will be registered against the violators.

 

CNG stations that will provide gas to the vans having illegal cylinders will also be punished. — DNA۔
