ONE-D Celebration Programmes Finalised
Faisalabad: 14 August : The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) is arranging colourful programmes on Independence Day on Wednesday (today).
Special prayers for the progress of the country will be offered at UAF Jamia Masjid at 8am. A flag hoisting ceremony will be held at Iqbal Auditorium at 9am. UAF High School students will sing national songs and present skits depicting the colour of love for the country and giving the message of peace. Speeches, performance and sports gala are also the part of the celebrations. Sports programmes include football matches, tug of the war contest, handball match, musical chair competition, basketball and others. Meanwhile, Independence Day will also be marked at Government College University Faisalabad with full zeal and enthusiasm. The committee constituted by GCUF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zakir Hussain finalised the programmes. The day will begin with special prayers for prosperity and progress of the country. A flag hoisting ceremony will be administrated by the VC followed by national anthem. The other programmes include Tilawat, Naat, march past, national songs and others. The arrangement committee headed by convener and Chairman Applied chemistry Department Dr Muhammad Zubair has completed the arrangements. Meanwhile, programmes in connection with the Independence Day will also be held at Government College Women University.
