Admission Notice One Year Post Basic Specialized Nursing Programs 2010Applications are invited from private candidates for admission in College of Nursing, PIMS, G-8/3, Islamabad in the following one year Post Basic Specialized Nursing Educational programs for the entry 2010:-
1 Anesthesia 2 Community Health
3 Gynecology & Obs. Nursing 4 Intensive/ Coronary Care
5 Operation Theatre 6 Pediatrics
7 Psychiatric (Mental Health) 8 Ward Administration
9 Teaching Administration
Criteria for Admissiona) 03 years General Nursing Diploma .
b) 01 year Midwifery Diploma for female candidates.
c) Specialized Nursing of one year duration in any subspecialty is compulsory for Male candidates for admission in Ward Administration course.
d) Current / Valid Registration with Pakistan Nursing Council.
e) At least 01year experience of clinical job in any recognized Hospital preferably in the concerned specialty.
f) 02 years experience will be required for admission in Ward Administration course.
g) NOC from concerned Institution.
h) For Admission in Teaching Administration course the candidates should have 60% academic achievement in Ward Administration course.
i) Medical Fitness Certificate.
j) Proficiency in English speaking, reading and writing.
Selection will be made on merit on all Pakistan basis regardless of race, creed, religion, gender, age, sex and marital status. Prospectus available from Accounts Branch, College of Nursing, PIMS G-8/3, Islamabad on payment of Rs. 200/- ( Rs 125/- will also be charged for courier service for out station candidates).Duly completed form along with the attested copies of testimonials and requisite documents should be sent to the Office of the Principal, College of Nursing, PIMS, G-8/3, Islamabad by 30th 2010.
Written Test will be held on 8th 2010 at 0900 hrs. The candidate who will qualify in written test will appear for interview on 9th 2010 at 0900 hrs. No further call letters will be issued for interviews. Applicants should bring with them the original diplomas, registrations and National Identity card on the day of interview. Admission forms are also available at Web site of PIMS
