Punjab Introduce information about Diseases in syllabus
LAHORE :July 01: If we want to have a bright future for our future generations, everyone of us will have to play his or her due role with honesty and hard work to end the multiple crises the country was facing, particularly of energy and health,” Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Iqbal said this while addressing a seminar titled “ENT Complications and Modern Methods of Treatment in 21st Century,” organised by Mir Khalilur Rahman Memorial Society (MKRMS), with collaboration of the CIL Karachi, here at a local hotel.
The guests included provincial Health Minister Khalil Tahir Sindhu and ENT Specialist Dr Nasrullah Rana. MKRMS Chairman Wasif Nagi was the host of the event while Ali Imran and Shehzad Rauf were his coordinators.
Rana Iqbal said there was no proper awareness on health issues in the society and they needed more attention. He said Pakistan was facing multiple crises and it was the need of the hour for the whole nation to get united to deal with them. He said collective efforts were required to achieve the goal of making the country a true welfare state.

 

Khalil Tahir Sindhu said the Punjab government was focusing on all sectors, particularly of health and energy and the government had earmarked Rs102 billion for the health sector. He said that soon the government would establish district health committees while health insurance would also be introduced. The minister was of the view that it had been decided that information about different diseases would be included in syllabus books.
ENT specialist Dr Nasrullah Rana said the ENT-related issues held great importance in human life, adding that if a human gets such a complication he could suffer a great loss for the whole of life. He said in the 21st Century, modern equipment for treatment, which provided a major help to doctors and a great relief to the patients, had been invented. He said different operations which was not possible in the past were being conducted by doctors with modern equipment.
