IoBM highlights issues on health management
Karachi :18 August : Institute of Business Management (IoBM) organised a Health Management Convention here on Saturday. The convention was aimed at highlighting indispensable need of health management for the development and sustainability of healthcare industry in Pakistan. Currently quality health management was being considered in areas such as bioethics, patient centred care, support services, hospital waste management, financial controls etc. Participants presented models of planning, organising, directing, controlling and the management of hospitals, pharmaceuticals, NGOs and allied services. A discussion forum was held which debated on topics such as partnering academics and industry, channelising the gaps, problem-based learning and case studies, collaborative fronts, tailor-made health manager and reflections on the theme at large. This Convention was organisd by students’ CBM Society of Health Managers (CSHM), amid the guidance of senior faculty of the centre.Daily Times.
