Gujrat:11 July:We as a society have become victim of anarchy and disorder; it is the higher education only which can lead us to a well-balanced and successful society. Alfalah Scholarship Scheme is shouldering the onerous responsibility of financing education especially higher education in Pakistan. It has come forward to the rescue of talented but poor students. Its vision of ‘Education for all’ is really very revolutionary. University of Gujrat at present is disbursing almost 64 millions rupees for the needy students. 20 million scholarships are given by HEC. 30 million by PEEF and UOG depending on its own resources disburses 14 million as Fee concession.” These views were expressed by Professor Syed Shabbir Hussain Shah Director SSC while welcoming Alfalah team, students and parents on a career counseling seminar 2013 at S-7 Hafiz Hayat Campus of UOG.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Zaigham Mugheera Vice Chairman Alfalah Scholarship Scheme, high lighted the significance of education for personal development and national growth. Syed Saqlain Haider Rizvi Board Member Alfalah Scholarship Scheme, expressed the need to change ourselves and our beloved country and nation so as to earn a good name in the comity of nations. He appreciated the visionary leadership of Mahateer Mohammad of Malaysia and his tripartite principle of Education, Religion and Patriotism.
Dr Fauzia Maqsood HOD Sociology Dept. in her speech appreciated the humanitarian efforts of Alfalah for the cause of education. She underlined the need for growth, development and transformation of society into healthy social mores and culture. Dr Khizar Hayat Bhatti HOD Botany inspired the students to develop dedication and commitment. Mr Raza-e-Mustafa introduced the Faculty of oriental and Islamic Studies. Nasir Majeed HOD Dept. of Law explained the facts about his discipline and the ample lucrative job opportunities available. Syed Amjad Hussain Shah gave a briefing about the faculty of Engineering. Mr Ghafar Mohiuddin introduced SADA. Aisha Kamal screened a video presentation about SADA. Dr Farhan of NSMC gave his presentation on Medical Sciences. Ali Abdullah presented facts and figures and jobs opportunities available for Management Sciences.
Mr Umer Hayat Umer Program Manager Alfalah Scholarship Scheme gave a vote of thanks at the closing of the seminar.
