Sri Lankan Minister Briefed on Sindh’s Education Policy
Karachi  :August 25: A visiting Sri Lankan dignitary was briefed about public welfare initiatives of the Sindh government, especially its measures for the promotion of education in the province, on Saturday.
Sri Lankan External Affairs Minister Prof GL Peiris met Senior Sindh Education Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Local Government Minister Owais Muzaffar and Senator Saleem Mandviwalla at the Chief Minister House.
They discussed issues of mutual interest and for strengthening the relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

 

Khuhro said both the developing countries had always enjoyed cordial relations, which had strengthened with the passage of time.

 

The Sri Lankan minister was also presented with the traditional gifts of Sindhi cap and ajrak.
Prof Peiris, who arrived in the country the previous night on a two-day visit, had earlier called on President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister’s Adviser on National Security & Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz. They discussed issues of bilateral interest.The news.
