Punjab Education Foundation Initiative
Lahore :October 07: PUNJAB Education Foundation (PEF) has decided to allow the low-cost private schools, partnering with the foundation under its education voucher scheme (EVS), to identify deserving children for issuing vouchers to study free in PEF partner schools up to matriculation level.
According to a handout, PEF Chairman Raja Anwar said this while talking to a 15-member delegation of heads of EVS partner schools at his residence on Sunday.
Raja Anwar said the purpose of giving an opportunity to the EVS partners to identify suitable out-of-school children for the issuance of vouchers was to facilitate the partners to contribute to promotion of education in the impecunious strata at the grassroots. Now, the EVS partners will identify suitable candidates. The EVS representatives will verify the antecedents of the selected out-of-school children and, if found eligible, these children will be issued vouchers. The news.
