Hyderabad BISE announces intermediate results

HYDERABAD: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Hyderabad, on Thursday announced the results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC Part II) Intermediate of Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical and Science General groups.

The examinations were held in May, 2009. According to the announcement of the Pre-Engineering Group, 12,106 candidates appeared out of which 7,655 passed, making the pass percentage of 63.23 per cent. In all, 543 candidates were placed in Grade A-1, 1,276 in Grade A, 2,464 in Grade B, 2,755 in Grade C and 612 in Grade D.

Among the boys, Muhammad Saad Shaikh, son of Muhammad Akram Shaikh, seat No 72236 of Superior College of Science, Hyderabad, got the first position by obtaining 953 marks; Muhammad Faizan, son of Abdul Razaq Memon, seat No 72103 of Superior College of Science, got the second position by getting 949 marks while Naeem Memon, son of Jaffar Memon, seat No 72081 of Superior College of Science, Hyderabad, took the third position by securing 945 marks.

Among the girls, Nimra Shahab, daughter of Shahab Muhammad Rajput, seat No 71762 of College of Excellence of Girls, Latifabad, got the first position by getting 930 marks; Paras Abbasi, d/o Aitbar Ali Abbasi, got the second position by obtaining 925 marks while Nimra Rehman, d/o Jamil Rehman, was placed third. She secured 925 marks.

The boys and girls who got the first three positions respectively were: Among boys: Muhammad Yasir, son of Din Muhammad Khebar of Public School Hyderabad, got the first position by taking 949 marks; Ghulam Hussain, son of Mushtaq Ali Khwaja, of Rahim Public School, Badin, got the second position by getting 915 marks, while Umair Masood, son of Masood Ahmed Memon, of Szabist Intermediate College, Nawabshah, got the third position by taking 913 marks.

Yumna Ahmed, d/o Saeed Ahmed Qureshi, of Hayat Girls College, Hyderabad, got the first position with 941 marks, Kanza Islam of Superior College of Science, Hyderabad, got the second position by securing 939 marks while Amreen, d/o Saleem Qureshi, got the third position with 938 marks. The News
