Rawalpindi : 17 August: Punjab Minister for Education, Sports and Archaeology, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, has said that main objective of enrolment emergency campaign is to get rid of darkness of ignorance.
He said that all departments should coordinate closely and take steps on a war footing to make this campaign successful. He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting held at Higher Education Commission in connection with Enrolment Emergency Campaign.
Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said significant steps were being taken to improve education system, besides increasing literacy rate. He said a complaint cell was being set up to swiftly resolve problems faced by the education department. He said he would pay surprise visits to check working of schools. He said computer labs would also be set up at elementary schools. He said public private partnership would be made strong and transparent for the provision of facilities at education institutions.
Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi Dr Muhammad Ashraf, Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) Dr Samina Amin Qadir, EDO Education Rawalpindi Qazi Zahoorul Haq, Director Colleges Rawalpindi Dr Abdul Qayyum Bhatti, and Divisional Sports Office Shah Manzir Farid, besides EDOs (Education) Jhelum, Chakwal and Attock, attended the meeting.Nation.
