Boards in KP agree on preparing new model papers
TIMERGARA:August 27: To eliminate the curse of cheating in examinations, all educational boards in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday agreed to prepare new model papers for conducting Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificates examination. A meeting was held at the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Malakand at Chakdarra with BISE Malakand Chairman Prof Shaukat Ali in the chair.

BISE Bannu Chairman Raj Muhammad, BISE Kohat Secretary Abdur Raqib, Chairman Zoology Department Islamia College Peshawar Dr Ali Muhammad, Government College Batkhela Principal Prof Zamin Gul, Controller Examinations BISE Malakand Prof Jamil Ahmad, lecturer Garrison Cadet College Kohat Aftab Alam, Muhammad Hussain from Karnal Sher Khan Cadet College, BISE Swat Assistant Controller Zainullah and others attended the meeting.  The meeting decided that conducting of practical would be mandatory for students during SSC and HSSC examinations instead of answering only theoretical questions.

The meeting also decided to increase the SSC practical marks by five numbers each for science subjects totaling to 30 instead of 15. Similarly, it decided to increase total marks of HSSC practical examination by five numbers each for all the three science subjects elevating the total numbers of practical to 60 from 45 numbers. It was also decided to increase the time for practical by 1 hour.  The meeting decided that those students, who couldn’t qualify their practical examination, would be considered failed.The news.
