‘India behind Charsadda University attack’
Peshawar :21 January:The Islamic leaders strongly condemned terrorist attack at Charsadda University killing 20 students and termed it a work of Indian agencies asking the intelligence agencies to examine the open threats by Indian State Minister for Defence Manohar Parikar last week.

They said Manohar Parikar had accused Pakistani agencies for Pathankot airbase attack and openly threatened to take revenge while using specific words “who have harmed us will also feel the pain because they understand the same language.” Mr Parikar had hurled those threats while addressing a ceremony of Indian army officers and said “the time and place should be of our choosing.”

Jamaat Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq said rulers have badly failed in protecting the lives of countrymen and lost the right to rule. Talking to the media at the exhibition by Islami Jamiat Talaba on Wednesday, Sirajul Haq said Charsadda incident could have been avoided by implementing the National Action Plan in letter and spirit, but the rulers ignored their basic duty despite serious threats from the enemies.

Siraj said corruption and terrorism were eating away at the very foundations of the state, but rulers were busy in minting money.

Tanzim Islami Ameer Hafiz Akif Saeed said Bacha Khan University terror attack should be probed with reference to the threatening statement against Pakistan by Indian State Minister for Defence Manohar Parikar last week wherein he had threatened to give bigger pain to Pakistan than what India had felt in Pathankot airbase attack.

Hafiz Akif Saeed said US and Indian secret agencies had established their network in Pakistan and were busy in conducting terror attacks, especially in Balochistan and KP. He said Islamabad should present the proofs of Indian agencies' involvement in terror attacks on Pakistan before the UN.

Islami Tehrik leader Allama Sajid Naqvi, Wafaqul Madaris Shia President Allama Riaz Najfi and Shia Ulema Council Punjab President Sibtain Haider Sabzwari have strongly condemned what they called Indian-sponsored Taliban attack on Charsadda University.

In a statement they said government had failed to protect the lives of citizens and displayed utter slackness despite open threats by the enemies. They demanded total implementation of the NAP and said enemy agents must be nabbed to purge the country of terrorism.

Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and Chief Organiser Major (Retd) Mohammed Saeed asked the rulers that instead of taking credit for the success of Operation Zarb-e-Azb, they must implement the National Action Plan in its spirit.

Expressing grief on Charsadda University terrorism, the PAT leaders said government was responsible for this act of terrorism as they were not taking all-out action against terrorists for personal political gains.

They said rulers were never serious in the elimination of terrorism from the country that was why the National Action Plan had not been implemented in totality. The news.
