Plan to Rehabilitate Special Children
Lahore :September 13: CHAIRMAN Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) Raja Muhammad Anwar has claimed that the Punjab government has chalked out a comprehensive plan to rehabilitate special children by providing them with necessary facilities, says a handout.
Addressing a seminar “My dreams about Pakistan” at the Department of Special Needs Education of a private university on Thursday, he further said under this plan, it had been planned to provide best educational facilities to the school going special children and ensure its maximum coverage by the year 2015.
Similarly, imparting knowledge and skills to physically challenged children to enable them to become independent members of the society is another priority agenda of the government, he added.

 

Raja Anwar also said the Punjab government had planned to establish a technical and vocational institution of special education as well as setting up of parks for disabled in the province so that they could enjoy a quality life. Establishment of international standard rehabilitation centre for the disabled is another important agenda of the government, he added.
Dr Abdul Hameed, Anayat Ullah, Dr Rahat-ul-Ain and others also spoke at the seminar which was largely attended by students, teachers, social workers and philanthropists.The news.
