PPSC announces exam schedule for school posts
Lahore :September 13:AFTER almost a year’s time period, the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has finally announced an examination schedule for various posts of the School Education Department Punjab.
The posts were advertised in early October 2012 and applications were invited from candidates with closing date October 29, 2012. The posts advertised included 81 posts of Senior Headmaster/Deputy District Education Officer, 119 posts of Senior Headmistress/Deputy District Education Officer, 122 posts of Headmaster/Deputy Headmaster, 154 posts of Headmistress/Deputy Headmistress, 153 posts of Subject Specialists of different subjects (Male), 196 posts of Subject Specialist of different subjects (Female), 211 posts of Senior Subject Specialists of different subjects (Male) and 220 Senior Subject Specialists of different subjects (Female). The exams of some posts of Subject Specialists and Senior Subject Specialists have already been conducted but exams against many of the posts are yet to be organised. When asked about a reason behind the delay in conducting exams, PPSC Secretary Nayyar Iqbal said thousands of candidates had applied against these posts, adding making arrangements for such a big exam was not an easy task keeping in view the availability of exam centres in different cities.
Nayyar Iqbal claimed the Commission had now announced the exam schedule for these posts and candidates had been informed through the PPSC website, SMS and other means. However, the PPSC website mentions exam dates for posts of Senior Headmaster/Deputy District Education Officer (September 23, 2013), Senior Headmistress/Deputy District Education Officer (September 24, 2013), Subject Specialist (Male) Computer Science (September 25, 2013), Subject Specialist (Female) Computer Science (September 25, 2013), Subject Specialist (Male) Mathematics (September 26, 2013) and Subject Specialist (Female) Mathematics (September 26, 2013).
