Lahore :August 19: PUNJAB Teachers Union (PTU) has warned the authorities concerned that if actions against teachers were not taken back by August 30, they will stage protest demonstration.
In a joint statement, PTU office-bearers Ch Muhammad Sarfaraz, Rana Liaquat Ali, Zafar Sindhu and others have said that teachers would not accept District Education Authority at any cost. The PTU leaders said it was not good to put the entire burden of low results in certain schools on the teachers’ shoulders, adding that the teacher community was involved in non-teaching activities which was affecting their performance at large. They said the PTU always gave important suggestions to the Education Department but it did not consider them.The news.
