Minister Visits Local Varsities
Lahore:July 10:Punjab Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan visited a private educational institute here Tuesday and witnessed the preparation of bio-medical materials in the Inter-disciplinary Research Centre.
The minister also witnessed the place where artificial skin graft has been made possible by using a chemical known as Chitosin obtained from the shell of marine creatures.
Briefing the minister the campus Director Dr Mehmood Ahmad Bodla demanded a chunk of adjacent 200 acres of land for expansion of institute for the promotion of higher education in the province.
Rana Mashhood ensured that he will take up this
matter with Chief Minister
Shahbaz Sharif and an
amicable solution will be reached.
Later, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan visited another university where a media workshop on Public Relations, Social Media, Event Management, Anchoring, Production and Camera Work was held under the auspices of Unified Media Club of Pakistan.
Addressing the concluding session of one-week professional media training workshop, the minister emphasised the need to focus on objective reporting rather than sensational reporting. He admired that Pakistani media had contributed a lot in promoting the social justice and protection of weaker segments of the society. Its contribution is more valuable than any other institution in our country, he added. The minister advised the young mass-communicators not to try any short-cut and exhibit total commitment to their profession.The news.
