APTA president passed away due to prolonged illness
PESHAWAR:19 June: The founder of All Primary School Teachers Association (APTA) and its provincial president passed away on Wednesday due to prolonged illness.

Malak Khalid Khan had served as a primary school teacher for 20 years and raised a voice for teacher’s rights under every government.

In 2007, Khalid had formed the APTA. Under the banner of this organization, thousands of teachers raised their voice for rights in both, the previous Awami National Party (ANP) government and the current Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

APTA Acting President Azizullah Khan told The Express Tribune that due to the 48-year-old’s prolonged illness, he died today (Wednesday) and his funeral prayers were held at his native village in Charsadda.Published in The Express Tribune,
