University of Veterinary Sciences Private Co Sign MoU
Lahore:July 05: UNIVERSITY of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore and a private farm company have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to mutually work for the development of livestock and dairy sectors.
According to a press release issued on Thursday, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and Managing Director of the said company Shauket Ali Sherazi signed the MoU at a simple ceremony at UVAS City Campus on Thursday.
Under the MoU, both organisations will organise training programmes for the training of trainers in the field of livestock and dairy. The training programmes will be held and facilitated by UVAS in terms of labs, lecture rooms, model farms, feed processing plants, pasteurisation plant and milking parlour. UVAS will provide certification and examination facilities for the training participants.
Both organisations will also exchange information, materials and facilities of mutual interest.
Speaking at the MoU-signing signing, the Vice-Chancellor said the university was providing all animal production techniques and facilities on its Ravi Campus. He said that UVAS 24/7 Extension Service was helping the farming community and striving to improve the overall health, productivity and wellbeing of animals.
Prof Pasha said the markets of livestock sector were in poor condition and needed to be reformed so that the developed products could bring huge profit for farmers in general and the country in particular.The news.
