« on: July 24, 2009, 04:28:46 PM »
The University of Faisalabad (TUF) with its affiliated University Medical & Dental College (UM&DC) provided free medical checkup and medicines to about 1300 IDPs and distributed relief goods consisting of house hold items including cooked food, mineral water bottles and cash to more than 1000 famine stricken families located in camps at Akbarpura, Jalo Zai and other areas of District Nowshera.

Besides this the staff and students of TUF and UM&DC participated enthusiastically in the fund raising campaign and also donated their one day salaries as an expression of showing solidarity and sympathy with these people who had to leave their homes to avoid collateral damage to their life and property by the forces engaged in rooting out the terrorists from the Malakand Division.

The team was lead by Dr Muhammad Amin, which comprised of Dr Shahid Khan, Dr Irshad Ahmad Mian and students of the University. Engineer Ibadullah Khan, a local resident assisted the team during its visit to various IDPs camps
