HEC approves Rs 800ml for hi-tech labs in GCUF
Faisalabad : 14 Seotember : Higher Education Commission (HEC) approved on Thursday, Rs 800 million for the establishment of hi-tech laboratories in six departments of Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF).

According to a university spokesman, the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) had released an initial grant of Rs 50 million for the project, which would be completed under the supervision of CDWP.
He said that the hi-tech laboratories would be established in the departments of Bioinformatics, Physics, Zoology, Chemistry, Food Sciences and Computer Sciences.
He added that this would help accelerate research work in the GCUF according to international standards, besides providing huge revenue to this particular institute of higher education.
He further stated that these laboratories would also help the educational, industrial, agricultural and commercial institutions of Faisalabad and its peripheral district to take maximum benefits from the latest research.

These laboratories will also provide services for tests and chemical analysis in the medical field, as well as in the agricultural and industrial fields, he added.Dawn.
