Artists and students from all over the country had set up stalls of mostly handmade handicrafts, woodwork, rugs, clothing, accessories, interior decor items and greeting cards at the mela. Other stalls sold exquisite gems and jewellery as well as diverse and delicious cuisines. The main objective of organising the unique mela was to provide healthy environment and enjoyment to students. The Artisan Mela is open for three days, not only for the FJWU students, but also for females from outside the university.
