New era of education’TEVTA enrolments soar to 230,000
LAHORE:10 December:Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Chairperson Ali Salman Siddique has said that skill ecosystem will begin a new era in technical education.

He expressed these views while addressing a meeting to review the performance of different wings at TEVTA Secretariat on Wednesday. Salman said this meeting will be held every week to improve governance and implementation on vision 2023.

TEVTA chairman added that approach of youth towards technical education, demand-driven skill, quality assurance, economic opportunities and innovation is our basic focus. “We have also increased the number of enrolled students from 90,000 to 230,000. We have also upgraded the conventional syllabus into a demand driven,” he asserted.

He noted that such initiatives are providing economic opportunities to our students. Salman said career development and job placement centres are guiding students in availing job opportunities.

He said when the classes were closed due Covid-19 pandemic e-learning courses were initiated. In a situation when the world is striving economically, students having e-learning skills are earning handsome amount while working from home, he said.

Chairperson also advised officials to take measure for ensuring the implementation on vision 2023.
