Rhodene Academy was established in 2007, in the heart of Clifton, Karachi as a private English language school following the international Cambridge examination syllabus leading to 'O' Levels. It offers classes from Reception right through to 'O' Levels. The school is headed by a professional educationist, with over twenty years of experience of high level education in Karachi. She was previously the Asst Director for The British Council, heading Education based projects in Sindh, before joining a new school in Karachi. She led this school to be one of the highest regarded schools in Karachi.
In 2007, she became disillusioned with the direction of this school and decided to set up her own school, where she could do the things the right way. Henceforth, Rhodene Academy was born. The school has grown rapidly and in 2010, Rhodene Academy took over PlayPen Montessori, in order to offer classes from Reception right through to 'O' Levels.
Rhodene Academy is run by a South African/British nationals and it is this background that led to the name Rhodene Academy, where it is our desire to emulate the excellence in education, synonymous with the name RHODES (the world famous Rhodes Scholarship).
The schools motto in Latin is "
Discere Mutari Est", which translates to "To Learn, is to Change". The school also holds true to the phrase "Our Children Come First". Unfortunately, in todays world, children are almost secondary to profit for schools. Commercialisation of schools has made profit more important then the children itself. More and more children are crammed in to classes to maximise profit and teachers have no time to impart their knowledge to all students. Rhodene Academy does things differently. They guarantee that their class numbers will NEVER increase above 18, thus enabling teachers to be able to spend time on each and every student.
The faculty of Rhodene Academy is comprised of highly experienced and trained teachers, with their combined teaching experience of well over a hundred years!!! Rhodene Academy places the welfare and the future of their students above all else. All classrooms at Rhodene Academy are fully air-conditioned to ensure that the students are able to learn in a comfortable environment.
Rhodene Academy also believes in and holds true to the notion that the School is the best place for children to learn and be educated. As such, we have a FREE after school "Tutorials" programme, where students needing extra help in the core subjects are offered extra classes, thus eliminating the need for them to attend costly tuition classes. Rhodene Academy also has a full extra curricula programme to include sports (led by an ex Commonwealth Games medalist in Tae Kwon Do for Pakistan), Film club, field trips, concerts and a host of other activities.
