Public Hospitals to Induct Own Graduates
Lahore:04 July: THE Young Doctors Association (YDA) has informed that public sector hospitals of Punjab have decided to induct their own graduates into the post graduates residency programmes and apologised to graduates of other medical colleges.
According to a press release on Wednesday, YDA General Secretary Dr Salman Kazmi said that for the first time in Lahore, the administration of Services Hospital had inducted graduates of its attached SIMS only, Jinnah Hospital had inducted AIMC graduates and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital had inducted FJMC graduates while on the other hand the final list for PG training was yet to be displayed in King Edward Medical University. Meanwhile, Young Kemcolian Forum has appealed to the new Vice Chancellor of KEMU to revise the previous anti-Kemcolian policy of the previous acting Vice Chancellor and give preference to Kemcolians into the induction of new PGs. The Young Kemcolian Forum representative has appreciated the efforts of new VC to improve the university. Previously, they informed that the old KEMU administration had started forcing their own MBBS graduates to go to other hospitals in search of training.The news.
