Workshop on Teaching Behaviour in Classrooms
Karachi :September 07: As part of its ongoing teacher training programme, the Oxford University Press (OUP) Pakistan is organising a workshop for teachers on `Ethical Dilemmas in Teaching: Beliefs, Practices and Realities’ on September 7 at its Head Office.
An official of the OUP said on Friday that the workshop would focus on encouraging ethical conduct in the classroom which was critical to successful teaching.
It will also highlight the different theories of behavioural management, most of which operate on the school’s foundation of a common belief set.
Teachers will be trained in how to dedicate adequate time to establish and reinforce those beliefs in their classrooms.
Techniques to motivate students to behave ethically, which in turn will affect their performance positively in the classroom, will also be discussed.
The workshop will be conducted by Aneesa Mumtaz who has been associated with COTE and In-Service Certificate in English Language Teaching (ICELT) programmes as course tutor and Principal.
She has also written textbooks for the Sindh Textbook Board. A teacher trainer by profession, Mumtaz has also served as Principal of a prestigious college in Karachi. The news.
