A seminar organized at Lahore College for Women University

LAHORE (PPI): The Consumer based organization Community Solidarity System (CSS) organized a seminar at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) on the topic of "Consumer Education for Consumer Protection" here on Monday. Chairman Chief Minister Task Dr Ashraf Chohan, Ambreen Sipra, Muhammad Ali Nasim and others addressed on the occasion. CSS president Moshin Bhatti stressed on affective measures against the adulteration according to the Pure Food Rules Punjab. He said dairies companies used vegetable fats against animal fats in tetra packed milk and government should take strict action against such companies. He said Gawala's milk was better than tetra packed milk. He said CSS would hold consumer seminars at educational institutions to create awareness among youth for consumer rights. A poster competition among female students also held on the occasion, while students of Fine Arts and Home Economics of Lahore College displayed their portraits in the competition. Senior cartoonists Javed Iqbal distributed certificates and gifts among the winners.
