Lahore:July 14: ADVISOR to Chief Minister Punjab on Literacy Rai Haidar Ali Kharal has stressed the teachers working with the informal basic education schools to play their role in realising the goal of attaining 100 percent enrolment in Punjab.
According to a handout issued on Saturday, during his visit to various informal schools at Wahga, Lahore, the advisor directed the relevant teachers and officers of the district government to focus on children from the age of 5 to 14 who were denied admission in the formal school system. He warned that fake enrolment would not be tolerated and if any ghost school was identified, the responsible authorities would not be spared at all.
Rai Haidar Ali Kharal expressed his resolve to provide educational facilities on the doorsteps of urban as well as rural populace. The concept of informal basic education will be disseminated in an effective way to mobilise the parents, children of those who could not get admission in school or who are the part of dropouts.The news.
