LANDIKOTAL:July 09: Two students of a state-run school in Khyber Agency have topped schools of all the seven tribal agencies in matriculation examination this year, officials said on Friday.
The Principal of Hashimabad High School in Jamrud, Salim Wazir, told reporters that two of their students, Azhar Mehmood and Shaukat Khan stood first and second by securing 956 marks and 949 marks, respectively, in the secondary school certificate examination in all government schools of Fata.
Salim Wazir said the students showed excellent results because of efforts of the teachers and conducive learning environment. He said both the position-holders were from underprivileged families and couldn’t afford to continue higher education.
