Instructions for Selected Candidates
• This list is provisional and subject to verification of eligibility and original documents
including the equivalence and migration certificate.
• University reserves all the rights to make any change / correction in the list if necessary.
• Selected candidates shall contact to the respective departments for completion of
admission formalities and submission of the prescribed fee during June 22 - 26, 2009...
• Fee will be accepted in the form of pay-order drawn in favour of University of Karachi.
• The original Admission Form Receipt must be produced while fulfilling the admission
formalities at the Department.
• Please carefully read the instruction on page 8 of the Prospectus and bring all the required
documents in original with you.
• Failure in fee submission during the prescribed dates will lead to cancellation of admission
and no claim will be accepted.
Submission of Claim Form for Masters / Diploma Evening Admissions 2009-10
• Candidates not satisfied with the provisional admission list can submit a claim form that can be
obtained from the Directorate of Evening Program against payment of Rs. 500 during June 22 –
24, 2009 from 3.30 9.m. to 8.00 p.m. and can be submitted to the same office during the same
dates and timings. List of valid claims will be issued on June 26, 2009 at 4.00 p.m.

Claim can be made according to eligibility, category and merit provided that any one of the
following conditions is fulfilled:
1) A candidate who has been admitted to a department according to his / her own choice can
claim for those departments that were higher in priority in his /her admission form than the
department he /she has been admitted to ONLY if he / she is otherwise eligible and his /
her percentage is higher than the closing percentage of the department he /she wants to
claim for.
2) A candidate who has not been admitted to any department can submit a claim for a
department that he / she has mentioned in the admission form provided that he is
otherwise eligible and his/her percentage is HIGHER than the closing percentage of that
department.
• In case of a valid claim, the fee of the claim form will be reimbursed if the error was on
admission committee’s side. Otherwise, no refund will be allowed.
