Federal Directorate of Education gets Interim Chief
Islamabad:March 08: Instead of appointing a permanent head, the Capital Administration and Development Division on Monday gave the additional charge of the Federal Directorate of Education DG to a senior officer of the directorate tasked with overseeing the capital city’s public sector educational institutions.
The post had fallen vacant early last month when the Supreme Court had ordered fresh appointment to it from within the organisation in line with the relevant rules.
Through a notification, FDE Director Professor Dr M Tariq Masood has been assigned to look after the directorate’s top office with immediate effect in addition to his own duties. “In the absence of the regular DG, the work of the FDE is not running smoothly and there is a need that someone from within the FDE may look after the work on behalf of the DG,” read the notification seen by ‘The News’.
