FDE gets another Interim Chief
Islamabad:April 04:The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has gotten another interim chief. The Capital Administration and Development Division, which has the administrative control of the FDE, on Friday, gave director (model colleges) of the directorate Dr M Tariq Masood the acting charge of the director-general's post after the departure of the incumbent, Dr Ali Ahmad Kharal, whose removal was ordered by the Supreme Court two days ago and that too within 15 days of appointment.

Dr Masood was quick to assume the charge. He has been made the interim chief of the FDE for the second time in a fortnight. Professor Dr M Tariq Masood holds the acting charge of the post.

During the hearing into a contempt plea of former FDE director general Shahnaz Riaz challenging her removal from the post on April 7, 2015, despite its orders, a Supreme Court bench headed by Justice Amir Hani Muslim had ordered on Wednesday the immediate removal of Dr Kharal and appointment of a 'qualified' person in his place within 15 days.

The permanent appointment to the post will be made afterwards. The FDE oversees the public sector educational institutions in the Islamabad Capital Territory. The news.
