International Connection Dismissed in Jordanian Student Kidnapping
Hyderabad :20 July :  DIG Hyderabad Range Akram Naeem Barokha has ruled out any international connection behind the July 17 kidnapping of Jordanian national student, Mohammad Jamil. He said that there is a local connection to the kidnapping.

“No there is no national or international connection at work behind the kidnapping of the student,” DIG said over phone.
He said that the police are working on three to four different leads in the kidnapping.
SSP Saqib Ismail Memon confirmed that two embassy officials met him on Friday. He briefed them about the initiatives taken by the police to recover Jamil and probe the kidnapping.
According to the DIG, the situation has improved as far as progress into the case is concerned.

“We have involved intelligence agencies in this regard,” he said. When asked whether there is any al Qaeda connection involved in the disappearance of the student, he strongly denied it. He added that he would be in a position to share something on Saturday.
