Rawalpindi :August 28:  The creative arts exhibition of the students of Bachelors of Computer Arts under the theme of ‘Thesis Display 2013’ was held here on Tuesday at Fatima Jinnah Women University.
Prof. Dr. Samina Amin Qadir, Vice Chancellor FJWU, inaugurated the display. While appreciating the artwork of the students Prof. Dr. Samina Amin Qadir said that the work done by the students is very impressive and represent their creativity and imagination combined with the dedication and hard work of their teachers.
The VC stressed that the students should apply their knowledge in their respective fields and market their work. She admired the originality of the work of the student and was happy about the fact that students have tried to promote their own culture and our stories rather than borrowing the western ideas. She also appreciated the efforts of Ms. Farina Iqbal, Incharge BCA Department in making the event successful.
Talking about the exhibition Ms. Fareena Iqbal said that the work of our students has got international recognition and some of the alumni of BCA, FJWU are successful entrepreneurs catering international markets.
The exhibition featured art objects in the category of photography, paintography, game design, computer graphics, visual art, textile, computer architecture, documentary production, campaign development and graphics designing providing an opportunity to the young and aspiring artists to exhibit their talent through displaying their creative endeavours.
In visual arts a student expressed fear as a positive aspect of nature which contributes to the struggle and efforts for accomplishing or achievements. One student presented her work on the revival of old games we used to play in child hood like ‘kish’, ‘khokho’, ‘pithu garam’ etc.
Textile students presented various styles of clothes, cushions, tablecloth, sofa covers, rugs, wall hanging etc. Students designed different campaigns for existing brands like and for new brands they created themselves. In computer graphics students created posters, brochures, calendars, animation, cartoons in 2D and 3D etc.
The display was attended by large number of students, faculty members and media persons. Students received a wonderful response and admiration from visitors on their every piece of art.The news.
