Uloom-e-Islamia College Delegation meet Jameel Ahmed Soomro
Karachi:The Advisor to the Chief Minister on Information, Jameel Ahmed Soomro stated on Friday that education can play a pivotal role in the eradication of terrorism, extremism and violence and with the promotion of education we can eliminate social evils from society and said that teachers and students are supposed to play their effective role in this regard. He stated this to a delegation of teachers of the Uloom-e-Islamia College, headed by Professor Dr, Salahuddin. “Pakistan is facing many problems and terrorism is at the top of the list, we are fighting for the peace in the world”, he also said.
Soomro claimed that the terrorists want to bring the citizens of Pakistan back to the dark ages, but the present democratic government would never allow them to do so and would defeat the terrorists at every nook and corner of the country.
He also said that the terrorists would never succeed in their ulterior motives and it was prime duty of the teachers to prepare the students against terrorism and defeat the terrorists with the weapon of education.
Soomro also said that unless all the sections of the society were united together against terrorism and extremism we could not achieve complete success. He further said that strong democracy and democratic institutions were the response to terrorism and that the present government was playing its due role in solving all the problems.The News
