Kamran Visits National University of Sciences
Islamabad : September 21 : Ministry of Science and Technology Secretary Kamran Ali Qureshi paid his maiden visit to the main campus of National University of Sciences and Technology here on Thursday.
After a meeting with NUST Rector Engineer Muhammad Asghar at his office, the visiting dignitary was given a detailed briefing on the functioning and rapid growth of NUST, and was also apprised of NUST future plans including establishment of a 500- bed Teaching hospital and NUST Science and Technology Park. The Federal Secretary lauded the efforts of NUST management, faculty and scholars towards developing it as a centre of excellence in Pakistan.
In his remarks, the secretary also stressed upon the need for promoting quality education and insisted that other institutes of higher education emulate the precedent set by NUST. After the briefing session, the esteemed guest was conducted to School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Research Centre for Modelling and Simulation, School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and Offices of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation.
