Aspirants for admission to GIKI up by 20pc
SWABI: Entrance test for admission to the undergraduate programme of Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology was held in an organised manner at all the examination centres Sunday.
The number admission seekers to the prestigious institute of the country swelled by 20 per cent as 4,648 students appeared in the entry test which was held simultaneously in Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Multan and Dubai (United Arabs Emirates).
Multan and Dubai (United Arabs Emirates) are the two new examination centres set up this year to facilitate aspiring candidates in the respective areas.The result would be announced in a two or three days and the selected students would be admitted to the faculties of computer science engineering, electronic engineering, engineering sciences, mechanical engineering and faculty of materials science and engineering.
