Punjab Gov Provided Free transport, uniform and education for workers children

LAHORE: Senior Provincial Minister Raja Riaz Ahmad has said that textbooks, statsionery, transport, uniform and education are being provided free of cost to more than 27 thousand children of industrial workers in 36 workers welfare schools. He said that industrial workers while benefiting from the educational facilities being provided by the government should educate their children so that they could play their active role in the progress and development of the country and enlightened and educated leadership could be made available to the Pakistan. This was stated by him while talking to a delegation of industrial workers at his office, here today. He said that education is a key to progress and prosperity. He said that government is making efforts for providing education to all the children of the country as it is the only way to get rid of poverty. He said that government is launching a special campaign for creating awareness among the children of industrial workers about benefits of education. Senior Minister said that government has ensured provision of modern treatment facilities in social security hospitals for industrial workers and their dependents. He said that stipends would be awarded to those children of labourers who will show extraordinary performance besides seats for professional education in different institutions of the country will also be reserved.
