Driver Injured in Firing on School Van
Hafizabad : September 12 : The driver of a van carrying students, including girls, and staff of a private school was injured when a vagabond opened fire on them near Degree College on Madhrianwala Road here on Wednesday.
The driver was bringing the staff and students to the school when the accused opened fire on the van. As a result, the driver was injured while the van glasses were smashed. However, the students and staff survived the firing miraculously. After getting information, City SHO Rana Jamil Qaisar reached the spot, arrested the accused and registered a case against him. The accused was identified as Ghazanfar, son of Abdul Hafeez, of Wazirabad. The SHO said that the accused was under the influence at the time of the incident.
