‘Govt should look towards youth in fighting terrorism’

LAHORE: Terrorism is the biggest challenge being faced by the country and the government should give an opportunity to the youth to help eradicate this menace, position-holders at the Imperial College of Business Studies (ICBS) said on Saturday.

The ICBS held its 5th convocation with Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer as the chief guest. Rehab Attique – the best graduate of the ICBS BBA programme 2006 – said terrorists lacked morals and values and killed innocent people to enforce their agenda. She said all members of society needed to take responsibility and play their due role at this crucial time in the country’s history.

Hadiya Najeeb – an MBA gold medallist – said the youth of the country had been affected by the recent wave of terrorism more than any other agebracket. Hadiya said the Pakistani youth could best fight terrorism by using their vision and professional experience. Sikandra Ali – best BBA graduate 2007 – said those who were killing innocent people needed to follow the values taught by Islam. Muhammad Urva – MBA Executive gold medallist – said the people belonging from all four provinces needed to end their differences and unite to ensure a bright future for Pakistan. adnan lodhi/Daily Times
