Lahore : October 03: PUNJAB Minister for Special Education Asif Saeed Manhais has said this is a need of the hour to make people aware with the health education for stopping the infection of genetic diseases.
According to a handout issued on Wednesday, the minister said this while presiding over a meeting regarding “Children Health Education” with the Children Health Education Foundation. Director Special Education Fazil Cheema, Director Operations CHAEF Dr. Abbas Raza Syed and other related officers were also present in the meeting. Provincial Minister said the Punjab government in collaboration with the private institutions is trying to flourish children’s health and education especially for special children after finding the reasons of their disabilities. He said that after getting the family history of the disabled children, medical tests will be done so that the required medical treatment can be started according to the test results. He said that for the best possible facilities for the special children, we are following the latest research and Sindh model by the CHAEF also and after that we will be able to start the children’s health and education in remote areas of the province.
In the meeting, Dr. Abbas Raza informed the media that main causes of the birth of the disabled children are cousin marriages, self-medication and insufficient, unbalanced diet and contaminated water. He said the overdoses of sleeping pills are also a big cause of the birth of disabled children.The news.
