The University of Faisalabadwas established in the year 2002 under the auspices of Madina Foundation, a "not for profit" philanthropic organization in the light of the vision "Industry, Welfare, Education" of its founder chairman. The founders created this facility for providing quality education in professional areas to meet the educational needs of the people in and around Faisalabad. The University has two campuses i.e. Main Campus for female students and Canal Campus for males. Main Campus is located on Sargodha Road, Faisalabad near motorway interchange while Canal Campus is located on West Canal Road, Faisalabad.
The University of Faisalabad is chartered under Ordinance LX of 2002 promulgated by Government of the Punjab and recognized by Higher Education Commission as a degree awarding University.
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering program of The University of Faisalabad has been accredited by Pakistan Engineering Council.
The MBBS and BDS programs has NOC Pakistan Medical & Dental Council. The Pharm D Program has NOC from the Pakistan Pharmacy Council. It is reportedly the only university in the country who's Pharm D program has NOC from the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan.
Main Campus (for Girls) Main campus of the University has been carefully planned to provide excellent facilities to students and to create an environment conducive to innovative teaching and learning. The rich artistically designed four storeyed building of the Main Campus, away from the rush of the city, provides serene and calm environment ideally suited for education and research. Main campus of the University comprises of five blocks namely Khadija Block, Ayesha Block, Fatima Block, Zainab Block and Usman Block. Madina Teaching Hospital located in the Main campus has excellent diagnostic equipment and relevant infrastructure for providing free medical facilities to public. This campus is housing the University Medical College, Schools of Health Sciences, Management Studies, Arts and Social Sciences.
