He was addressing the launching ceremony of Lord Nazir Ahmed’s book ‘Sadaqat Ki Goonj’ at a hotel here on Sunday.
Shahbaz said Pakistani nation was talented and hardworking and he had full confidence in its capability to resolve all its problems and regain its lost status in the world by the dint of courage and determination.
He said though it would take some years but the challenges would be overcome and the nations which treated Pakistan as a beggar country would feel proud of its friendship.
The CM said Pakistan was confronted with numerous challenges which had to be overcome through collective efforts.

He said Pakistani nation was very talented but unfortunately it had faced the worst loadshedding, corruption and bad governance during the five year’s tenure of the last government. He said courage, honesty and the spirit of hard work would have to be displayed to resolve the existing problems. He said if India was a member of G-20 today, the time would come when Pakistan would also be attending such conferences and it would be known to the world as a sovereign and dignified country. He said that it’s not possible through mere speeches but practical efforts were needed for this purpose.

Shahbaz said Lord Nazir Ahmed had upheld truth with courage and steadfastness and his book reflected the practical efforts made by him in this regard on which he should be congratulated.

Lord Nazir Ahmed paid rich tributes to the development vision of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and said Shahbaz was the only CM who had served the poor in the real sense. He said metro bus was an excellent project of Shahbaz Sharif made for the poor people who were fully benefitting from it.
