GCU tops Inter pre-engineering, pre-medical Exams
Lahore: Government College University's pre-engineering student Asad Mumtaz (Roll No 529696) bagged overall first position in the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore's Intermediate Annual Examination 2013. Asad Mumtaz, a resident of the Kot Lakhpat area, secured 1,047 marks out of 1,100 marks.

Twins Muhammad Ali Aziz (Roll No. 513984) and Ahmed Ali Aziz (Roll No. 513877), both students of GCU, secured first and second positions in the pre-medical group (Boys) by securing 1034 and 1026 marks respectively. The overall second position was shared by Hafiz Usama Tanveer (Roll No. 530887) of GCU and Khadija Nadeem (Roll No. 505138) of Kinnaird College who secured 1038 marks each.

Similarly, the overall third position was also shared by Hadia Tahir (Roll No. 505038) of Kinnaird College and Ayesha Sikandar Baig (Roll No. 505369) of Punjab College for Women, Muslim Town who secured 1037 marks each. Among girls in the Pre-Medical Group, the first position was clinched by Khadija Nadeem. The second position was shared by Hadia Tahir and Ayesha Sikandar Baig while the third position was bagged by Sania Ashfaq (Roll No. 500209) of Punjab College for Girls, Kasur, with 1035 marks. Among boys in the Pre-Medical Group, the first position was clinched by Muhammad Ali Aziz and second by Ahmed Ali Aziz (the twins) while Saad Ali Zanjani (Roll No. 513858) of GCU stood third with 1025 marks.

In the Pre-Engineering (Girls), Iqra Javed (Roll No. 522042) of Punjab College for Women, Muslim Town, clinched first position with 1033 marks, Ateequa Yaqoob (Roll No. 521732) of Kinnaird College second with 1030 marks and Mah Noor Dar of Punjab College for Girls, Kasur, (Roll No. 520061), third with 1027 marks. In the Pre-Engineering (Boys) Asad Mumtaz stood first, Hafiz Usama Tanveer second and Junaid Ali (Roll No. 530631) of GCU third with 1028 marks. Among girls in General Science Group, Maira Nadeem of Punjab College, Muslim Town, (Roll No. 548002), clinched first position with 989 marks, Armish Ashraf of Kinnaird College (Roll No. 547889) second with 982 marks and Maria Ahmad of Punjab College, Muslim Town, (Roll No. 548699), third with 969 marks.

Among boys in General Science Group, the first position was bagged by Tala-ul-Badar of Punjab College of I.T., Muslim Town, (Roll No. 556625), with 988 marks, Umer Shahid of the same college (Roll No. 555684) second with 972 marks and Adnan Ali Syed of GCU (Roll No. 555145) third with 960 marks. In the Humanities Group (Girls), Aneeqa Aftab (Roll No. 624459) of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) bagged first position with 968 marks, Aroosa Adrees (Roll No. 636863), a private candidate, stood second with 962 marks and Amina Ishaq of Minhaj-ul-Quraan Degree College for Women, Township, (Roll No. 619289), third with 957 marks.

In the Humanities Group (Boys), a private candidate Muhammad Hassan (Roll No. 652110) secured first position with 939 marks, Hafiz Muhammad Usman-e-Ghani (Roll No. 660520) of Unique College of Computer Science, Muslim Town, second with 935 marks and Asif Hussain of GCU (Roll No. 658822) third with 928 marks.

Among girls in Commerce Group, a private candidate Iram Fayaz (Roll No. 569286) clinched first position with 1007 marks, Shazia Rafiq of Punjab College, Muslim Town, (Roll No. 564746) second with 972 marks while the third position was shared by two private candidates Maria Ali Ahmed (Roll No. 569418) and Aqsa Azeem (Roll No. 569045) who scored 967 marks each.

Among boys in Commerce Group, the first position was bagged by Muhammad Hassan Shahbaz of Punjab College of Commerce, Muslim Town, (Roll No. 585768), with 980 marks, second with 971 marks by Syed Muhammad Asghar Ali (Roll No. 584633) of the same college and Muhammad Naeem (Roll No. 577040) of Shah Kot College of Commerce, Nankana Sahib, third with 970 marks.
