National University of Science & Technology plans to introduce a medical college

Rawalpindi:National University of Science & Technology (NUST) plans to introduce a medical college along with a 1,000-bed hospital, complete with all state-of-the-art facilities within few years.

The university�s future plans also include the establishment of new faculties such as Creative Arts & Media and Educational & Behavioural Sciences, and the revival of International Institute of Peace & Conflict Resolution.

NUST has been rated amongst top 400 universities in the world and already offers a wide range of faculties including Engineering, IT, Health Sciences, Applied Bio-Sciences, Management Sciences, Social Sciences and Basic Sciences, offering MS, MPhil and PhD in almost all the disciplines.

The university faculty members include 241 PhD holders in Engineering and related subjects from foreign universities like UK, USA, Australia and China, along with 218 PhDs or equivalent from highly reputed universities of the world. It is the first university in the country to take practical steps for establishing a technology park to graduate job creators and not job seekers.
