History University of Gujrat
University of Gujrat has been established under Act IX of 2004 by Government of Punjab on February 23, 2004 to cater for the higher education needs of the population of Central Punjab . This University will provide facilities of higher education to the students of the surrounding areas, particularly Gujrat, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Jhelum and Mandi Bahauddin districts at affordable cost. It will also promote research and development culture in the area.
