The aim of the department is to provide participants with an understanding of business management and the development practices to achieve business growth and the creation of competitive advantage.
Objectives
The programme will assist participants to develop their management strengths and to contribute more fully to the growth of the business by:
Providing an understanding and knowledge of the key functional disciplines of a business
and how they emerge as the firm progresses throughout its life cycle
Exploring the importance of company vision and how to develop it
Introducing participants to the concepts and tools of planning and strategy development
as they apply to a small growing organisation .
Practical analytical and decision making skills required to work effectively as mangers
State of the art knowledge, theories and concepts of management gained through guided
reading, interactive exercises and assignments
Personal development opportunities for increased self- confidence, awareness of
influencing styles and interpersonal skills
An opportunity to plan the growth of the business by focusing the course project or on a
relevant theme such as product innovation, marketing, internationalisation of the business,
