Applications are invited for the following positions likely to be permanent in the University from Pakistani Nationals:

1   Lecturer (BS-1 8) Mass Communication Age: 21-35
2   Deputy Director - QEC (Handsome salary package to suit the qualification & experience) Age: 30-45
3   Deputy Director - Publications (Handsome salary package to suit the qualification & experience) Age: 30-45
4   Assistant Director - QEC (BS-17) Age: 24-35
5   Assistant Registrar (BS-17), Age: 24-35
6   Public Relations Officer (fixed salary package of Rs.25,000/-)
Age: 21-35
7   Library Assistant (BS-11) Age: 18-25
8   Security Guard (BS-09) Age: 18-25
9   Sr. Lab. Attendant (BS-09) Age: 18-25
10   Library Cum Junior Clerk (BS-07) Age: 18-25
11   Library Attendant (BS-05) Age: 18-25
 
Application forms for the posts can be obtained from the Confidential Branch, Registrar’s Office
A Bank draft/Pay Order/Postal Order of Rs.500/- for Sr.# 1 to 6 and Rs.200/- for Sr.#7 to 11 in favour of the Treasurer, GCU Lahore will have to be attached with the application form. Last date for receipt of application is 24.03.2010.
 
SELECTION CRITERIA
 
1. Lecturer (Mass Communication) (BS-18)
1st Class Master’s degree or equivalent degree of 16 years of education in the relevant field with no 3rd division. However, if the applicant holds MPhil/PhD or equivalent degree, one 3rd division in the academic career will be acceptable.
2. Deputy Director  -  QEC
•   1st Class Master’s degree from a recognized University.
•   Four years experience of work in relevant field in BPS-17 in a Government/Semi Government Organization/Autonomous body/Recognized University/Reputed Private Organization is required.
•   Candidate must possess good oral and written communication skills.
•   MS Office proficiency is a pre-requisite.
 
3. Deputy Director  - Publications
•   1st Class Master’s degree from a recognized university
•   Four years experience of work in relevant filed in BPS-17 in a Government/Semi Government Organization/Autonomous body/Recognized University/Reputed Private Organization is required
•   Candidate must possess good oral and written communication skills
•   MS Office proficiency is a pre-requisite
4. Assistant Director -  QEC (BS-17)
•   MA/MSc at least in 2nd Division
•   No experience is required
5. Assistant Registrar (BS-17)
•   MA/MSc at least 2nd Division with 3 years teaching/administrative experience
6. Public Relation Officer (fixed salary package of Rs. 25,000/-)
•   MA (1st division) in Mass Communication, MA Journalism/Development Journalism from a recognized University.
•   Candidate with good command in English and Urdu languages, having work experience in print/electronic media or in the field of Public Relations shall be preferred.
7. Library Assistant (BS-11)
•   BA/BSc (2nd Division) from a recognized University with Certificate in Library Science and Knowledge of Computer
OR
•   Intermediate (2nd Division) with Certificate in Library Science & 5 years experience of Library work and knowledge of computer.
8. Security Guard (BS-09)
•   An ex-service man with excellent service record
OR
•   Matriculation (2nd Div) from recognized Board
•   Height=5’- 9”, Chest=32”- 34” and good physical condition
9. Sr. Lab. Attendant (BS-09)
•   FSc 2nd division with no 3rd division in academic record
10. Library-Cum-Junior-Clerk (BS-07)
•    Higher Secondary School Examination from a recognized Board (subject to the condition that he will qualify typing test within six months of appointment) and knowledge of computer.
•    Typing speed in English of 25 W/P/Min or knowledge of word processing. Preference will be given to those who have Certificate in Library Science
11. Library Attendant (BS-05)
•   Matriculation with Certificate in Library Science and knowledge of computer.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
 
1.   The selected candidates will be governed by the GC University Lahore Service Statutes, 2005.
2.   Applicants working in Government or Semi Government organizations / Autonomous     bodies should apply through proper channel. However, the candidates may send advance copies of their applications.
3.   Application Forms for the posts can be obtained from the Confidential Branch, Registrar’s A Bank draft / Pay Order/ Postal Order of Rs. 500/- for Sr. # 1 to 6 &
Rs. 200/- for Sr.# 7 & 11 in favour of Treasurer, GCU Lahore will have to be attached with application Form.
4.   Applications on the prescribed forms with complete details with regard to bio-data, attested copies of degrees/certificates etc. should reach the Registrar Office, GC University Lahore by 24.03.2010
5.   Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date will not be entertained.
6.   The University reserves the right not to consider any application without giving any reason.
7.   Preference will be given to those persons who have relevant experience. Age relaxation will be given as per rules.
