Mehfil-e-Milad Fatima Jinnah Women University

Rawalpindi:A ‘Mehfil-e-Milad’ was organised at the Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) here on Tuesday. It was participated by students of various departments.

The ‘Milad’ started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’aan by Afshan Shaheen. It was followed by a ‘Hamd’ by Huma Zafar and ‘Durood Sharif’ in chorus. A group of participants presented ‘Bayaan’ on the topic of ‘Hope and Tolerance’ and also shed light on ‘Seerat-un-Nabi’ (peace be upon him).

Other ‘Milad’ participants included Qurat-ul-Ain, Anila Qamar, Sobia Bashir, Beenish Pervaiz, Bibi Asima, Salma, Fakhra Batool, Samra Malik, Sundas Naveed, Riffat Awan, Raheela and Aayesha Tahir. The auditorium echoed with the beautiful sound of the participants and the audience reciting ‘Durood Sharif’.

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Saeeda Asadullah Khan, in her message on the occasion, urged the students to project and disseminate the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) in letter and spirit, as success lies only in following his teachings. She was of the view that Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) always propagated the message of kindness, tolerance and patience, and we being Muslims must try our best to follow the path of our Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). The news
